From the middle of April to the middle of May, the <i>Maersk Peary</i> conducted several underway replenishment/CONSOL operations. The first operation was with <i>USNS Supply</i>. According to Military Sealift Command, this was the first commercial vessel to conduct a two-station UnRep with the MSC fleet. The <i>Peary</i> also conducted three additional UnReps (with <i><i>USNS Laramie</i></i>, another with <i>USNS Supply</i> and with USNS Laramie). AMO member Captain K. Michele Laycock of the <i>Maersk Peary</i> keeping a close lookout on the evolutions during an UnRep operation with the <i>USNS Supply</i>. AMO members aboard the <i>Maersk Peary</i> in April included Third Mate John Connolly. With him on the bridge were ABs Josh Gail, Dave Kennedy and Barney Fedele. AMO members aboard the <i>Maersk Peary</i> in April included First Assistant Engineer Alex Ruddy, Third A.E. Charles Bragg and Chief Engineer Garrett Long, all who kept a close eye on UnRep operations in the engine room. American Maritime Officers members working aboard the <i>Maersk Peary</i> during Operation Deep Freeze 2022 included Chief Mate Trevor Fouhey, First Assistant Engineer Paul Styx, Third Mate Gemma Nguyen, Third A. E. Caleb Linder, Second A.E. Phillip Ianozi, Captain Everett Hatton, Second Mate Samuel Este, Chief Engineer Dimiter Mitev and Third Mate John McMonagle. The <i>Maersk Peary</i> pulls into McMurdo Station ice pier to unload fuel and supplies in Antarctica during Operation Deep Freeze 2022. The <i>Maersk Peary</i> delivered and offloaded nearly 9 million gallons of deisel and jet fuel to McMurdo Station, enough to power the remote research facility for the entire year. Each member of the <i>Maersk Peary</i> crew received an Antarctica Service Medal certified by the Secretary of Defense in recognition of valuable contributions to exploration and scientific achievement under the United States Antarctic Program.
