The M/V Stena Immaculate was reflagged by Crowley Government Solutions in August as part of the company’s commitment to the newly formed Tanker Security Program (TSP). The Stena Immaculate is one of three vessels being reflagged for the program by Crowley, which was created by the Department of Defense (DOD) and the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD). The TSP, which currently has 10 approved spots, ensures a commercial fleet can readily transport liquid fuel supplies in times of need for the DOD, particularly internationally. The Crowley tankers will continue international commercial operations but can be chartered on a short-term basis to serve the U.S. government’s operations.

American Maritime Officers members working aboard the Stena Immaculate in August, here passing through the Suez Canal, included Cadet Aiden Vanderwall, Chief Mate Daniel McCullough, Third Mate Benjamin Ackerman, Second Mate Adam Durrua and Captain Scott Anderson.
