The USNS Heezen, which is operated by Ocean Ships Inc. for Military Sealift Command, conducts scientific work such as oceanography, hydrography, and many other scientific fields from the ocean floor to the stars. The USNS Heezen is manned in all licensed positions by American Maritime Officers.
